Our site is in the process of switching over to an adaption of the Fan Rated Rating System, which has been made available for use by all fanfiction authors and archives. We know it's going to be confusing at first, but please bear with us! We are making this change because the Motion Picture Association of America has begun to legally enforce copyright claim over its MPAA ratings system (G-PG-R-NC17), meaning that fanfiction authors are no longer allowed to apply those ratings to their work.

The Fan Rated Rating System (FRRS) as applied on this site is as follows:

FRC (Fan Rated Suitable For Children) - suitable for all readers
FRT (Fan Rated Suitable For Teenagers) - may include mild profanity, violence, and non-graphic adult situations
FRM (Fan Rated Suitable For Mature Persons) - contains content which may be disturbing or offensive to some readers
FRAO (Fan Rated Suitable For Adults Only) - contains graphic sex and/or violence

Content Warnings

MP - Mild Profanity
GP - Graphic Profanity
MV - Mild Violence
GV - Graphic Violence (murder, rape, abuse, torture)
SC - Sexual Content (non-graphic)
SLC - Slash Content (non-graphic homosexual content)
SEX - Graphic Sexual Content (contains descriptions of explicit heterosexual sexual acts)
SLEX - Graphic Slash Content (contains descriptions of explicit homosexual sexual acts)

Additonal Notes about the Ratings and Warnings

MP, MV, SC and SLC are what you might expect to see on network television.
GP and GV are what you might expect to see on cable television.
SEX and SLEX are what you would only be able to see on select cable channels late at night or by special subscription to adult-only cable networks.
